Overseas Chinese Teachers’ Training Program in China

The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) sets up Overseas Chinese Teachers’ Training Program in China to subsidize overseas Chinese teachers all over the world for their professional development. The training course will be offered by Chinese universities at local campuses. The course plan will be released on the Platform for Local Teachers Programs after approved by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) in March. The course mainly includes Chinese professional knowledge, Chinese teaching skills, Chinese teaching methods, Chinese testing and evaluation, Chinese teaching material, Chinese culture and national conditions, and cultural comparison between China and foreign countries. The training courses last 1-4 weeks with more than 15 students. 

Application Requirements

A.Applicants shall be the full-time or part-time local teachers from Confucius Institute or in-service Chinese language teachers from overseas main universities, colleges and schools;

B.Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens;

C.Applicants shall be under the age of 60 and in good health conditions;

D.The Chinese Proficiency of the applicants should conform to the requirements of the seminar.
